For Sale: 1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery in Old Fort, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

This is a rare 1955 Sedan Delivery that has had many recent updates and reconditioning. In August 2022 there was extensive work done including a new Blueprint 355ci engine, dyno at 398hp and 417ft/lbs of torque. Aluminum heads, hydraulic roller cam and 4 bolt mains, Edelbrock performer intake, Holley street warrior 600cfm carberator, and MSD HEI distributor. Muncie M-20 close ratio 4 speed transmission, and Ford 9' rear end-3.73. Also done was, McLeod steel flywheel, Centerforce dual friction clutch, power steering conversion, Flame river tilt steering column, Vintage heat and air conditioning, new wiring harness with spade fuse block, Classic Instruments gauge set, (Tach on the column), upper and lower tubular control arms, bushings and ball joints, KYB shocks, new rear leaf springs and shackles, Rain Gear hidden wiper system, high volume water pump, power master starter, rebuilt driveshaft and balanced, 3 row BeCool radiator, BF Goodrich 295 50R/15 rear and Goodyear 205 70R/15 on the front. Also bucket seats with new mounts. (The seats are in excellent condition but I put on sheepskin seat covers to protect me from the hot vinyl.) Also new stainless steel exhaust system. All work done by Al's Rod and Custom Reno NV. There is $33,000 in receipts, and have over $60,000- invested. I need to sell due to property purchase, and the price was just lowered.  All receipts are included. There is a deep scratch in the upper right rear where I hit a mailbox turning around (see pictures). The signage on the side was like that when I bought it, and can be removed- tape- and replaced with your business or a new name. Also, the rear mounted 17 gallon fuel cell/ rear battery mount was there when I bought it. The paint is in good condition with a couple of minor blemishes and there is no real rust- just minor at the frame. The body is super straight with even gaps, but could use some minor alignment at the hood.  I built a little platform in the back to create a level surface, and storage underneath. The car has a little over 4400 miles since the work was done, and has had time to sort out any issues, and properly break in. Covered parking through the winter. I drove this car across the country last year, and has always gotten many thumbs up and smiles along the way, and will be an excellent streetable hot rod for many years to come.
