How can i get myself motivated to clean the house daily?

I want to give the house areal good spring clean, tomorrow but i know unless i give myself a kick up the backside, i will be doing nothing. I just cant seem to get myself motivated to do the tasks that need doing daily.. any suggestions?

Play your favorite music on the radio...that always gets me motivated!

Think of all of the germs, mites, mold, disgusting growth you might have in your home! THIS should get you motivated!

Cleaning is not a very fun thing to do, granted. But grab you a seat and look up some news articles on what kind of critters thrive in dirty houses.

That'll be sure to motivate ya!
Tell urself that a clean household will improve your life. You might actually find something new. My aunt cleaned out her closet just last weekend and found she had carpet in there!! : )
do it nekked!
Take it one task at a time. Thinking about everything that has to be done at one time can be overwhelming. Once the first task is done, then you move on to the next. Happy cleaning.
Just think about how nice your house will look and smell. Also, put on some upbeat music. That always works for me.
Start off doing a small area, then take a break, then go to another area, then take a break or lunch, do a little at a time. You'll you've accomplished something and the good feeling spurs you on to do a little more. I know I have trouble staying motivated too!
I don't know, but if you figure it out, will you tell me. It seems like I spend allmy time either bitching about the mess, or trying to find a way not to clean it.
invite Friends more ofter to the house, print a daily calendar and stick it on your fridge (have daily activities and include cleaning but don't make it a primary task so it doesn't take all your thinking.. then start doing it every other day at first until it becomes a habit, 3 weeks later, make it a daily task on the calendar (but spend less time to put motivation behind that change

Wife tried it and it works great for 2 years now
Turn that radio up open all the windows and clean girl!
It's a matter of health, too. Dust and dirt can be inhaled... It looks better when everything is where it belongs, not on floor.
It is a way to relax.
Try talking about it with your friends.
You can do some research and look for tips in books, Internet.
Go to a store and buy really cool cleaning stuff.
oh you dont know how I relate to you! I am newly married (4 mnths) and simply hate doing cleaning. I am actually very lazy and always procastinate. and believe me just thinking the house will look and smell fresh doesnt work because within 1-2 days the house becomes a mess again!! you could make a timetable. Clean your house every alternate day or after 2 days. Consider cleaning as a form of exercise... you will lose alot of calories this way. Trust me, you are not alone, there are many people who badly need motivation to get the work started!
Play music, light scented candles, amd just do it!
well this is what I do, I first make a list of what I want to get done. I put on some favorite music, (loud) and set my timer to see how much I can get done in a certain amount of time. I also sometimes set the timer for like 30 minutes and push myself extra hard like more bending, stretching and count that as my 30 min workout for the day.
