What you do before you take it to your new place is put it is the sun and allow some of the smell get out of it and if anything is in there they won't be for long. After getting in your new place take your vacuum and clean it really good....

Yes .. Go to the local Goodwill and take home some cooties from one of them couches. They will eat the bugs and scare off the rats.
When in DOUBT throw it out!! Remember ,,,some one else rented that space before you and there is no guarantee that they were clean. also you have neighboring rental units and the storage company's are only concern is to rent that space,NO MATTER WHAT THE COST even to your own property! WHEN IN DOUBT,,THROW IT OUT! OR YOUR NEXT CALL MIGHT BE TO THE EXTERMINATOR!!Good luck

they sell defoggers at your local $store set off a couple and it will get rid of any thing living in your furniture..
