I was given an old fur coat. i didn't kill or have killed, the animal. I would like to know how to store it.
Answers:
Hang a fur coat on a well-padded hanger in a cotton bag, NEVER in plastic. Valuable furs should be put into cold storage during the warm months. Periodically shake out a fur that isn't worn regularly. If you are caught in the rain or snow, let the fur dry on a hanger away from direct heat and light. If you spill something on fur, blot it up with a clean white towel and have the garment professionally cleaned. ut
Other answers:

No, you didn't kill it, but don't lose sight that it was once a living creature!
Somebody DID kill it, so are you sure you want to wear death on your back?
The best place to store it is by hanging it in an open space and apply a source of heat to the object ie; flame thrower, or similar.
It might look like a great coat, but it looked ever better on the animal that was born in it!
There are so many great alternatives out there that nobody needs to encourage the brutality of the fur trade.
The Chinese are breeding dogs and cats and skinning them alive for fur, UTTER BARBARISM.
