how do i get rid of black marks on a glass stove top?

These are the black stains that remain after all other cleaning products have been used, will not come off with razor blade.

Answers:
Make sure the stain is on the top and your not seeing from underneath. then all I see you havent tried is rubbing compound, like used on automotive finishes, should do the trick

Other answers:
You can buy a compound for this type of stove or use Bon-Ami, which is safe. I scrub with a pad (gently). I've heard that lemon juice and water helps.

try using thinner or nail polish remover . it might do the trick
You can try a mix of baking soda and water, this will take away any burned on food. Work in with a scrubbing sponge. This will remove it and not scratch, if that's what it is.

Like the other poster said, you can also buy Bon Ami and use that. You can also try NON GEL toothpaste, it's a mild abrasive and it may take it off.
Have you ever tried the Magic eraser, I liked it alot it works on all kinds of different things:)
