How to keep a bedroom clean?

One thing that really bugs me is that i CAN'T keep my bedroom clean. It's messy and unorganized. Are there any tips on how to fight the problem? i mean... cleaning is SO boring!--even with music! :(

Answers:
Yes--get yourself two or three trash bags. Sort all your clothes out this way: KEEP, TOSS, GIVE AWAY. Use two of the bags for TOSS and GIVE AWAY. Take the clothes you want to keep and put them all in laundry baskets for now.
Next, sort all your papers, CDs, and DVDs the same way. Use the TOSS and GIVE AWAY bags again. (You will probably need another bag for what you are tossing out.
If you have jewelry, hair and makeup lying around, do the same with that. KEEP, TOSS, and GIVE AWAY. Now, make your bed, and make piles on it of the things you are keeping. If you have stuffed animals, souvenirs, etc. sort them out too, and get rid of anything you possibly can.
Now, make room for what you are keeping. Get a cheap holder for your DVD's and CDs. Put your jewelry, makeup, and hair stuff in plastic storage cubes. Label them. Stack them on your desk or dresser. Use your souvenirs and other mementos to decorate, but don't overdo it--you need to have some room to breathe. Finally, take the clothes you are keeping and wash them, hang them or fold them, and make room for them in your dressers and closet. If there's not enough room, sort what's hanging already, and what's in the dressers too, and get rid of anything you haven't worn in a year. Ok, now you should have a few bags full of stuff you don't want. Toss the junk, and take the other stuff to Good Will or Salvation Army. From now on, spend ten minutes each day putting away whatever you take out, and make your bed every morning. You should be able to dust and sweep or vacuum easily once a week now, cos you've gotten rid of clutter. I just did this to my whole house, cos we're selling it, and it takes SO much less time to keep things organized now.
One more thing--toss the old magazines the day the new issue comes into the house. SOO much less clutter if you do that.

Throw things away that you don't need, wear, use, fit, care for, and don't want.

You tell me,my husband never throws anything out.It isi hard when you have a lots of junk my husband save.
organize it!! use shelves, bookcases, bins, and all that kind of stuff to keep your things where you want it. make a habit of going through your room COMPLETELY once a month or so, but straighten it up every week or two. when you "super clean" your room, wash the windows, dust, go under the bed, organize stuff, go through your books, desk, closet, everything. once i spent three days doing just that. once your room is clean, you'll feel so much better and it will be so much more enjoyable just to hang out in your room
Ok, here's an idea. If you've noticed that things tend to pile up on your desk you've won half the battle!

Take inventory in your mind about what types on things end up on your desk and then create a place for those things. For example, if its bills create an in box. Take a visit to Wal-Mart and purchase some cheap containers to help you sort and be organized....that way instead of things piling up on your desk they could accumulate in an organized manner :)

This worked for me :)

Take care!
use boxes and then put them in your closet or somewhere else. Then get rid of stuff that you don't need.
To keep your bedroom clean, you can transform a bedroom closet design quickly, easily, and inexpensively by installing a modular closet system. There are many competing storage systems and products, so take a look at several systems before deciding.

There are two main types of do-it-yourself systems; those made of ventilation coated-wire components, and those made of solid particleboard components with a high pressure-plastic laminate.

Mixing solid-wood components with wire shelves and rod makes sense some cases, for instance…there are some items they want to look at and other they would like to store.
If you plan a system carefully, you can double the amount of storage area available.

It’s a good idea to have a few hooks but not too many or your closet will look messy. Slide-out drawers may not be worth the cost; simple and cheap shelving usually work just as well.

In addition to the usual bedroom closet design, think about under-the-bed storage, as well as under the eaves if you have attic space. But also think about smaller pieces like file cabinets, and freestanding storage.

A combination of drawers and cupboards, and open shelves with doors offers the most flexibility. In most cases the easiest way to plan is to start with a shelf or drawer unit somewhere in the middle. It often helps to divide a large closet in half or in thirds to make it easier to find things.
Ahh, Ive been in your shoes! First, clean off that dresser, desk etc. Put something pretty in its place, a vase, photo, or lamp, that way you cannot put stuff there again. Place a small pretty dish to catch lose change. Dont try to organize the junk thats there, just get rid of it! Now, make your bed as soon you get out of it, right away. Bring your dirty clothes to the laundry RIGHT WHEN YOU TAKE IT OFF! Your bedroom should be inviting make sure your bed is comfortable, fluffly pillows, soft blankets etc. Good luck.
