Why does my Iron Leak?

Try cleaning it by putting a solution of water and vinegar in it. Heat iron for awhile and then pour out the remaining cleaning solution after the iron cools. Then only use distilled water in it from now on.

Perhaps there is a hairline crack? I would replace your iron. They're not too expensive and trying to figure out the problem with this one is probably not worth your time.
I don't know, but irons are not that expensive, usually $10 - $15. I wouldn't dwell on this for very long; I would simply get a new iron.

from experience the iron leaks for 2 reasons. it is either too full or low on water
