How do I remove cat urine and odors from carpets and fabrics?

It's called Nature's Miracle. Its a white bottle with red lettering and a red cap. Follow the directions on the bottle and you'll be good to go. You might also want to invest in a blacklight so you can see all the spots you need to clean.

You need a cleaner that has enzymes in it.
Its the stuff you find in bleach. There are lot of pet stain and smell removers you can try out at the store. Unfortunately, soda water doesn't cut it.

I dont know any other effective way to remove that smell than getting rid of the cat, I used to have two cats, and their urine was like crazy.The funny thing about cats, they never pee on the same place, that's why ur carpet and furniture, both are a living Hell. My advice is to remove all ur carpet and furniture ( the one is "damaged"),but it will cost u, hence u could try a cleaner, but no cleaner can defeat the smell of cat urine,believe me.There is one technique from "ancient times" you could put into practice, find a place where the cat has recently peed, and take it there, and with no mercy rub its nose all over the pee, cats consider themselves one of the cleanest..., it would work, its own smell could defeat it. I dont know if u love cats but I love them more than any other animal.
Nature's Miracle is good--a little pricey at $20 a gallon and there is some new product too that you inject into the carpet. My friend used this stuff before she sold her house and she swore by it. Ask at a Petco or Petsmart.
Mix a little mouthwash in your carpet cleaning solution.

I had the same problem. Get a good scrub brush and mix some Tide with hot water in a bucket. It worked great for me.
