how do you remove ink pen mark from a white leather pocketbook safely?
Answers:
try lemon cologne or lemon juice. but be careful about its amount, if the leather is painted (white, black or whatever) it may damage the paint.
i have removed pen ink from my leather sport-shoes with cologne. but a little "scar" is left, cos i'd used too much cologne..
Other answers:
Try a little nail polish remover (the usual caveat, check first in an inconspicuous spot). You might even try a little petroleum jelly. I have used both methods on white leather shoes, but use the barest minimum of acetone.

I've had good luck getting ink off things with hairspray.
try using a q tip soaked in alcohol. the reason hairspray works sometimes is its alcohol base. but to prevent the leather from drying out- just use a qtip on the spot sparingly
