How do I get the wax from edam out of fabric?

The best way I've found to get wax out of fabric is you put some baking parchment over the wax and using a warm iron, iron over it. This will melt the wax which will then be absorbed by the paper. But how you get your iron out to the car is another matter!

put a paper bag on it and iron it, the wax will stick to the paper, you may need to use clean sides of the paper bag till it is all lifted.

Place grease proof paper over the wax and iron over it. The wax should then lift and stick to the grease proof paper. I have also placed the item with wax on in the frreezer and when it's all hard , you are able too pick it off. Although this wouldn't work in your case! Good luck
Don't laugh but you have to pour pee on it (fresh urine) and let it soak then spray windex on it and it will break apart with a gentle rub with a towel.
if you put an iron on acrylic piled seats you will flatten and damage the pile. You would be better on using a can of upholstery cleaner and gently work in it with a clean dry cloth. if that fails a steam cleaner would do it but on gently heat up the stain, let the fabric cool before using a clean cloth to absorb the residue. Touch the fabric whilst hot and again you may damage the pile.
