How do you remove skunk odor?

I've used tomato juice on our dogs and it seemed to work. To remove the odor from our house I put small bowls of vinegar in every room and that also seemed to help. Unfortunately, time seems to be the best cure. :)

Since skunk odor has a sulfur base, you need to use an acidic juice to help remove odor from clothes or pets.
Recommended acids include tomato juice, white vinegar, lemon juice and orange juice.
A weak solution of household chlorine bleach may also be used to remove the odor.
Sun and air the item and wash frequently to speed up odor removal.
