How do you get the new wood smell out of dresser drawers?

Answers:
Throw a fabric softener sheet in there. Chances are strong, that's what you really want your clothing to smell like---clean laundry.

Other answers:
have moth balls on your closet!

the smell is much stronger than the new wood scent..

but the next question would be, "HOW DO YOU GET RID OF MOTH BALL SCENT?" lol

just leave the draws open for a few days that should take care of the smell
If the drawers are made of real wood lumber, the odor should disipate easily. If you place a bar of soap into each drawer, the soap will odor will overtake the wood odor. If the drawers are made from glued together particles of wood, the odor takes longer to fade away. Some of the glues used nowadays are so strong.

Leaving the drawers open to allow the odor to escape is a good idea.
Use coffee powder, let all doors open, and leave it for about a day. Coffee powder can remove almost any unwanted odor.
Put some lavendar essential oils, about 4 or 5 drops, onto a cotton ball -- place inside each drawer & just let it sit over night. If you don't like lavendar, find a essential oil that you prefer & do the same thing. Lavendar is a good one to use & I've used it alot. Doesn't smell like lavendars at all. Try it! You can choose orange, clove, peppermint -- the choice is yours -- but the cotton ball soaks up the drops of oil & dispenses the scent through out & pratically eliminates it overnight. Just leave in if odor lingers. Pure essence of Lavendar oil is good for chasing away bugs, ants & even mice! Great for all types of things!
Have you tried Fabreeze?

I usually put bounce sheets or scented sachets in the drawers and even those perfume samples from stores or magazines.
