How do I return with dried paint out of runner?

It's latex house paint, and has be in near for about a year or so. Not a generous spot, but still annoying. It's not shag type, but the flat, thin hearth rug you have surrounded by an office.
I've tried Goo Gone and Goof Off, and scrape it with a stiff brush hasn't worked any. Any little trade secrets?


Answers:    if its a dampen base paint hold your carpet shampooed it should come right out! or Dried latex can sometimes be removed by using a steam iron to verbs the latex and then crust it away. Don't go overboard and don't touch the iron to the paint.
Well... I dont know if this will work but it's worth a try... I once spilled an entire bottle of fastener polish on my cream carpet and be told to try regular ol' amonia and warm marine.

I was sure it be useless but it actually worked. I wouldnt be surprised if it worked for you too....Nail polish is pretty cruel.
