Who has a Roomba, & do they work????
Answers:
My mother has one and she loves it! It is nice to watch it move around and do the work for ya, but it's round. Being round, it won't get into the corners like I like. Though my mom loves it, I prefer to use a broom and dustpan. Better yet, I use my Rainbow vaccuum cleaner most of the time to be sure that no dust or other particles remain on my floors or in my air.

I have one, it does work. Getting "bad" stuff out of the way ( fringe, thick throw rugs) and making sure it can't get caught anywhere in the room takes a few minutes.
think of it as being more like an robotic broom - that will give you the idea of your results.
It won't pick up everything. But i like it.

I bought a roomba for my husband for Christmas last year. We got it running and it would make a few rounds around the living room and abort the mission. It never completely finish the room. We had a piece of grass on the floor that it just kicked around until I got frustrated and picked it up myself. We checked the bin to see if it did pick anything up and it did have a bunch of lint in it. We returned it because we have a dog and a child it the house. We bought a Dyson instead since we needed something more heavy duty.
Overall, I would say that a roomba may be OK for a house without much furniture and that stays fairly clean anyway.
