I used vinegar to receive rid of smelly sandals, very soon how do I seize rid of the vinegar smell?

I soaked and washed my sandals surrounded by vinegar and now I cannot seem to be to get rid of the vinegar smell any. I have wash them about 3 times next to detergent and nothing seem to work.

Wear them till your foot oder overpowers the vineger
Use some material softner in the swab or where ever you are wash them. (sink?)
The smell will go away inwardly time. Let them dry completely and the smell will be gone.

I second the baking soda suggestion. Vinegar is an acid,and baking soda is a foundation. They neutralize each other, which is why you return with the bubbling foam when combining them in those homemade volcano projects.
use disinfection spray or try rubbing alcohol.
