This lady collects socks for the homeless, even singles.

Other answers:
Use them for dust rags
Use them for dust rags
Keep them till I do laundry again, if no mate shows up, to the trash can it goes...
i use them as cleaning rags
One word - PUPPETS!!
Sacrifice them to the sock goddess
I USE THEM AS RAGS OR SACRIFICE THEM TO THE LAUNDRY GODS SO AS NOT TO UPSET THEM FURTHER. THEY HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE KEY GODS...YOU WILL LOSE LESS KEYS IF YOU SACRIFICE MORE SOCKS.
I have drawer next to the washer/dryer and place all non-matched socks in it. Someday I will go into that drawer and find out if any non-matching ones finally match.
Just hang on to it. Put it in a special drawer.
Next time you lose another sock, then *bam*, you've got a brand new pair.
Keep the singles and when you loose anohter if they look compatible hook um up
Put them in the mismatched sock drawer. When you get a good pile you go through it find some mates for some socks.
My sister and I thought of sending them to Paul McCartney's wife. In the meantime, we're just saving them.
i tear them and make a rag rug when i have a nuf
find another pair
Check the laundry and the whole house if you can't find them...just use them as rags or just find another mate that's also uncomplete and wear them when your at your house alone.
Make "sock" dolls (or puppets) out of them and donate them for Xmas or some local organization, OR give them to the GOODWILL..
I use them as Dust Rags (great for cleaning glass) or make Puppets, & Doll Clothes for the kids.
pair them up and use when wearing boots or other non sock revealing footwear saves your matched ones a little wear
I simply wait. Sooner or later someone will put on a shirt or pair of pants & a sock will come out of the leg or sleeve.
I throw them in the laundry basket again to go with next wash. at least it rotates in the wear and tear as it matches up to a different sock every cycle. of course once they're hole-y they are dust rugs
Safety pin them together in pairs before you put them in the wash!
I have them in a pile in the laundry room waiting for the match to show up. Every once in a while I get lucky.
If it takes to long to show up, I let my neices and neighbor kids cut them up and make puppets out of them- or do whatever they want to do with them.
Once in a while I'll use it for a rag, but that's rare.
