I have two cats (one long hair and one short hair) and they shed crazy!! Especially because it is getting so warm outside. I have beige carpets so you can see the cat hair build up, it is so gross! My vacum doesn't work so well at picking it up so I am looking to buy a new inexpensive one. The most I am willing to spend is $300. Help!

Rainbow vac. It is AWESOME my mom has a dog and it gets that hair up like you wouldn't believe. I'm not sure how much it is but it is worth it let me tell you, it makes the carpet look good as new. Worth every penny
Check out Consumer Reports, they rate vacuums on all aspects, and recommend ones that perform best, and cost least. You local Library should have back issues. I think they did a review in Mar , or May. Apr is the Auto issue.
