get a kirby.. they're about $1,000 but have a lifetime warranty, even if your house burns down and you leave the vacuum in there. (god forbid)
we recently purchased a dyson "animal" vacuum. expensive (very expensive), but absolutely worth every penny. i cant say enough good things about the dyson.

p.s. we had a roomba before that; if you have pets the roomba is virtually ineffective.

p.p.s. not familiar w/ the kirby, but the dyson will set you back about $550
dysons really suck maybe what you need
Yes, very very good. I got a dyson with the attachment for pet hair and all I can say is it is soooo good. People say they are unreliable, but mine is over 2 years old and still going strong. I wouldn't care if I have to buy a new one every year, it really is that good!
