Can you wash a quilt stuffed with feathers?
Answers:
If you don't wash and dry properly, it can go moldy. Most feater quilts have a protected on the feathers. Most only require spot cleaning (if you get a stain on it) If you are only looking to freshen it, just hang outside for a few hours.

I seen a lady at the Laundromat washing a feather bed then drying it with a few tennis balls. She said that she does not dry the bed all the way and the tennis balls fluff the bed.I hope this helps you some.
Those two British house-cleaning ladies say if you stick tennis balls in a dryer with feather pillows, it will help with the lumps.
Dry clean it if you're worried, but if you're willing to try, go buy a couple canisters of tennis balls.
Yes, I wash my down comforter all of the time. Wash on gentle cycle. Do not ue alot of soap. And if your washer allows rinse it two times. Remove and let it air dry outside. Once the quilt is dry simply fluff and spray with a little febreeze just for good measure.
