The safest item to clean your kitchen that will clean all the bacteria is Sol-U-Guard. You can go to www.melaleuca.com to buy this. This item is also great to clean your children toys with too because it not only kills the salmonella and food borne bacteria in your kitchen, it cleans viruses and colds that your children leave on their toys, therefore this item is great for daycares as well. bleach
I would say dish soap and water for daily and frequent wiping, and once a week or so, use a disinfectant, particularly in the areas where there is food preparation and dish washing.

Always keep your meat cutting boards separate from veg and bread boards, and disinfect the meat ones frequently. I myself pour boiling water over them because I don't like the idea of chemical residue and food.

It is not a good idea to over use disinfectants, because not only will the germs and bacteria become resistant to the cleaners, but your own resistance diminishes in constantly too sanitary conditions.
i really like the clorox wipes
With fantastic spray and Brillo pads
We just moved into a house, which I thought was really clean until I started spraying Super Clean on the kitchen counter and say all the dirt that was on the rag when I finished. After using the Super Clean, I then sprayed all the surfaces with Clorox Anywhere spray.
