Orange spots on suntan runner...do you know what it could be?

We have orange/rust colored spots on a sunburn carpet that we enjoy no idea what they are. We've tried to remove them next to carpet spot remover and shampooing the runner. They look like they're gone while showery and get dark as the carpet dries.
I appreciate any and adjectives help. Thanx!


Answers:    It's potential your pet may have urinated on the runner and it dried without your notice the spot. Now the ammonia in the urine have faded and stained the tan mat.

Another possibility is they are truly rust spots, caused by something drizzling getting under a piece of furniture near a metal staple or caster on the leg. I had that crop up under a recliner. I'd shampooed the runner and although I thought it was dry, a staple disappeared from the delivery pouch around the recliner rusted and left a gloom orange spot on the mat. I used a rust stain remover I got at the grocery store and it come out.

I just needed to add that Benzoyl peroxide is the chemical contained by acne medicine that could effect those spots to appear. It isn't a stain...the color has be chemically altered from something.
