Are you an accumulator or a cleaner? Do you save everything or are you always giving things away, throwing out
Answers:
I'm totally a cleaner. I move so often that things naturally get sorted out and thrown out. We also have such little amount of storage space in our current house that I have no choice but to get rid of things constantly. I go through my closet 2 or 3 times a year and get rid of stuff that I haven't worn recently. Some things I wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of, but oh well!

Accumulator. It runs in the family. Grandma and mom do the same. I have crap everywhere!
I DONATE ALOT OF THINGS, I GO THROUGH MY KIDS TOYBOX MONTHLY AND TAKE OUT USED STUFF OR UNPLYED WITH STUFF AND GET RID OF IT. I DO NOT LIEK TO ACCUMULATE ANYTHING I LIEK WHAT IS NECCESARY AND WHAT LOOKS NICE AND TIDY. MY GRANDMOTHER WAS A PACK RAT AND MY MOTHER IN LAW IS A PACK RAT SO IT STEERED ME AWAY ALWAYS SEEING STUFF LAYING EVERYWHERE IT SUCKED. SO BASICALLY WHAT I AM SAYING IS IM A CLEANER.
Both.. But i need to get rid of More..HELPPPPPPPPP..lol
It depends on how I am feeling...I usually tuck stuff away, and then if my life is spiraling out of control I'll go and straighten something up and throw a bunch of crap away...
A lot of both. I am a stockpiler and then it bothers me that there is so much laying around, and so I am a user-upper too. One of my worst pet peeves is having little bits of things laying around, and worse yet when there is multiples of the same thing. So I try to use ONE item fully before I break the new things out...but when it is a new shampoo or something like that, I just have to TRY it.
My habits are changing though, I used to buy more than I ever needed because I didn't have a car...so when I imposed on someone for a ride, I made it worth the trip. And I can manage bigger inventories than some, without having it all out. I have an overflow system where I tuck things away and just get out a small amount to clutter up my home. Now I have a car, and I have a little more control over what I have on hand so I trust that I will have or can get what I need without having it all at once.
Every now and then, and recently, I get it in my head that there is just TOO much stuff so I will go through it all and clear it out. I am trying to let go of clothes, even if I have enjoyed them and they aren't completely ratty. I get downright sentimental about teeshirts. I have a Hard Rock teeshirt that I just can't seem to part with, it is almost not even modest to wear it. I sleep in it.
It just seems like I'm never happy with what I have. When I clear out, instead of feeling happy that there is more space, I plan my next shopping trip. Then when I have the shelves loaded up, instead of being happy and really enjoying the stuff, I see it as clutter and feel chaotic about it. Isn't that CRAZY?
This dual nature kicks in in the kitchen too. Often, the first inclination I have after cleaning up the kitchen is to COOK and mess it all up.
I throw things away constantly. Things can always be replaced. I love to clean.. germs are gross.
My mother is an accumulator. It drives me crazy so I am a cleaner. I throw away too much. My husband is always looking for something or other and I've usually thrown it away. Everything from pictures to paperwork to clothes to toys. It doesn't matter, it's just stuff and my mother will be here soon to replace it with more stuff. She tries to pile my house like hers and I tell her not to but she does it anyway. So I throw it away. I can't make her understand that she may as well throw her money in the trash. I don't want stuff. It just makes more work when it's cleaning day. Her house is so full (neat but full) that a friend saw a picture I took in the living room and asked what store I was in. That's too much stuff for me.
