What is the best way to get oil stains off my driveway?
Answers:
I worked at a truck (semi & small) repair for 7+ years and one little tip I learned was to remove oil spills from driveway and to prevent those nasty oil stains, sprinkle some kitty litter over the spill and let sit for a few minutes then sweep it up. When we ran out of Oil Dry at the shop, the guys would use kitty litter and it worked just as good. It's safe and inexpensive. Safety tip however that I picked up from working at Wal-Mart a while ago, NEVER use kitty litter on vegetable oil though for it is dangerous to do. Kitty litter is clay based and using this to clean up vegetable oil can somehow cause a fire. Good Luck! RosieAngel

sand will soak it up.
sand will soak it up.
gasoline, and a rag to scrub it.. (wear gloves, and other protective gear)
Palmolive dish detergent and hot water
There is a product called "Simple Green." It is very effective, and biodegradable.
depends on what type of driveway surface...if its concrete you can grind absorbent clay with your foot into the oil if its asphalt you can use dawn dishwashing soap and a brush and soak it up with an oil absorbent pad also tide laundry detergent, the powder kind is great for removing the smell also works with pet odors good luck !
First spread kitty liter over spots then grind in liter with your feet, sweep up. Then Tide laundry soap and hot water. Works evry time.
