Spilt tea on leather pouch?

My husband did that to his carrier shoulder bag once and we couldn't get it out. He granted to just kind a batch of tea and soak the in one piece thing within it. It came out as a solid color after he rinsed it actual well. Then he rubbed some saddle soap into it after it nouns dried.
M.J's answer sounds good but I would think twice that you don't damage the inside of the pouch. Best solution is to buy a shoe dye that is impossible to tell apart colour and re-dye the spots.
