We recently built a custom shower of beautiful tumbled stone. It was professionally sealed. So far, so good. But how will I clean any annoying soap scum or occasional mildew which may appear? I don't want to damage the stone or remove the seal.

It depends what the seal is made of. Salt water is great for tumbled stone, but without knowing what the seal is made of, you won't get a good answer. Talk to the people who sealed it and ask them.

Try a sponge and soap and water. If the seal comes off, you didn't want it anyway.
