How to remove baking stains from aluminium baking pans?
Answers:
Put some store bought Ketchup on the aluminum baking pans and let it sit for 2 to 3 hours. There is a strong acid in the Ketchup, that reacts with the stains on the aluminum. Then wash the pans with soap and water, and they will shine like never before, and the stains will be gone. You must try this for yourself, to believe how well it works, it's like a bit of magic.

I found that Cream of Tartar is
a great one to use on Aluminium.
You put the baking pan into a
larger container filled with very
hot water Boiling is better
and the cream of tartar for awhile.

need to repeat if the stains have
been on a long time.
My mother, who is a fanatic about using natural remedies/cleaners what-have-you, has finally convinced me that white, distilled vinegar is the ultimate cleaner. I hate it 'cause it smells horrid, but I have literally seen baked/fried on blackest stain and crud on every type of pan from aluminium to copper bottomed to cast-iron pans lift off by itself when my mom has put the vinegar about 8-12 oz., and about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water and let it stand at least 15 or 20 minutes or any time after that (even overnight, if need be). I have seen it with my own eyes-it literally lifts the crud off and it floats in the solution. You may need to clean the rest out with soap, but it will be much easier to get the rest off. The vinegar (mom always uses white, distilled vinegar)is fairly cheap and it's totally natural.
i leave them on my pans, it adds character.
