see if bleach and water and a wash clot.
use lime away it works
Just pore Bleach directly on the stains. And may have never thought this but Tresseme. The shampoo... It will clean the h*ll out of a tub, trust me.
there is a product that works really good for tough tub and sink stains it's called CLR (Calcium, Lime and Rust) its available at most stores and works wonders.
It depends on what kind of tub you have - porcelain, fiberglass, etc. Contact a local hardware store for recommendations on products that will not scratch your tub. A home remedy is equal parts hydrogen peroxide and cream of tartar. Also, you could try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Soft Scrub, Borax, or bleach & water.
try just leaving bleach on it for 5-10 min. then scrub with scrubbing bubbles. it should come out clean as can be. And don't let it get so nasty again.
It's probably iron in the water which shouldn't be there if your on a public water system. However if you have a well, then you have to use a water conditioner to remove the iron from the water, typically using a salt brine that chemically combines with the dissolved iron molecules so they can be backflushed down the drain every few days. Instead of being dissolved in the water, some iron is just floating in the water as small particles that can be filtered out with a water filter inserted in your main water line. This costs less than $300 to install whether you have a well or public water, but you'll typically have to change the filter in it every 3 or 4 months depending on how much water you use. A water conditioning company like Culligan will come to your house for free and test your water for iron and minerals as well as acidity. Then you'll know if it's iron causing the stain. One tip though is not to sign up for any water conditioning system with them until you've had a chance to get more advice. If they say a $300 main line water filter will fix it, and you can learn how to change the filters yourself 4 times a year, then I would recommend going ahead and doing it because if it's iron, its getting in your washer and clothes too, and you should not drink too much water with iron in it I don't think.
I had the same problem because our friend that lived with us would be so dirty after work. i bought and tried easy off bam lastnight, and it was amazing the difference. i sprayed and one spot was completely white when i wiped it down. you do have to let it sit for a minute, but try it it works!
my brother is a diesal mechanic and after he showers all that grease oil and dirt stick to the tub, and the only thing to get it off is CLR. I love this and highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't have time to wash there bathroom everyday.
dont use pure bleach, you need to dilute it or you will literally kill yourself trying to clean it! Get some comet powder or something that will really scrub for you. I found Scrubbing Bubbles doesnt work as well on tough stains.
