how do I remove super glue from my dress?
Answers:
Acetone is usually the active ingredient in cheap nail polish removers or those specifically designed for natural nails since acetone dissolves acrylic nails. It's a solvent and will break down the binders in the glue. (If you check on the side of the tube of SuperGlue it usually mentions acetone as one of its ingredients.)
Just be careful if your dress is made out of a non-natural fiber. Cotton or wool should be okay. But rayon or acetate will likely melt or in someway be affected by the solvent. Acetone is a fairly "hot" solvent and can melt some plastics or rubber.
