i got a package with supplies that lets you make your own candle.well i was trying to heat the wax.it got really hot and there was still globs of wax in the container.well the candle holder was very small so when i was trying to poor the wax the globs came out on the candle.so all of the sand is messed up and there is a complete mess on my counter.how do i clean the mess up and how do i fix a homemade candle?

It sounds like you tryed to melt all the wax at one time. Is this true? If so next time only melt about 1/4 of it at a time, it will cool to fast before you put it into the molds and yes you make a big mess and waste half you stuff...

for the wax on your counter, lay a bag of frozen veggies over it for about 15 minutes (until the wax gets hard) then use a putty knife to flake it off.
