hi hi am a 14 year old guy and i still have most of my childhood toys do u think i should trash them or keep?

Ask your parents for help to store the best toys in a sturdy dust proof container. Store the container out of the way such as in the attic, basement or garage. Pick the ones that are in good working order, have no parts missing and are likely to last well for the next 20 years if necessary. Your own children may one day enjoy playing with these. Ask your parents to make sure that they are not lost.
The remainder of the toys you should donate to your nearest charity, or if you are bored, even sell them on ebay.
Finally you might like to select one really cool toy to display in your room as a momento of bygone days.

keep the most best memories in a box and in a shed. then in a few years you can see it. but dont keep all of them.

Don't trash it just because you are 14. If you like any of it try to find a place to keep it. If you don't like it maybe try a garage sale or a Goodwill, but don't just throw the stuff away.
im 23 and i still have all my favourite toys n teddybears.i keep them in a box but love getting them out every now and then. u should keep a box full 2.
That's really up to you, but if you're really undecided, keep what you want somewhere safe where you'll always have access to them. The rest, do whatever. Some may hold memories, but if you don't remember what the memories are, what's the point?

See if you can get hold of those plastics containers with lids, and pack up your favourites and store them in the garage or something and give the rest to Red Cross. That way you get to keep them, plus your friends don't think you are kinda of werid having 'Street Sharks' Lying around with army men.....Plus who knows you might be able to pass them down to your kids one day........
Keep the stuff that is in good shape because someday they will be considered antiques and worth a little money when you hit your mid 30's to early 40's. I am shocked at how much baseball and football cards are worth and when I was a kid it was 15 cents for a pack and a stick of gum.
You could have a garage sale and make some $$$$$$$$$ or just give them to a charity so kids that don't have toys can have something.
You need to decide which are worth keeping for sentimental reasons, or because you still have interest in using them. Keep those. Give the others to a charitable organization - for instance, Salvation Army or Goodwill - so that others can enjoy those things you are willing to part with.

But i am a pack rat i keep everything! I wonder if i can find my highschool favorite shirt! umm.. but if you need room then it is time to sort threw your stuff ! ask yourself if you plan on using it or showing it off to someone with in the next year if the answer is no then sell it or toss it!

Hey dude. A little of each.
Keep the stuff you remember playing with the most, you will remember probably or will be able to tell by the toy's condition...you want to keep the really worn out pieces that have been loved the most. This would of course, not be everything you ever owned. A few of the most precious toys...and a variety. A couple stuffed animals, a couple play sets and their action figures, a couple games, a few cars and trucks.
A suggestion from me is to box up ALL your books in a safe way and store them. These will be precious to you when you have kids of your own...most books are easily packed up and may not take up tons of room. Other things to consider putting away for your own kids: your first wagon, bike, or tricycle, your first baseball glove, your security blankets and comfort items from being really young, stuff you really got into and have a story to go with them.
If you find yourself sentimental about things but can't keep them all, you can always take pics and make a scrapbook for yourself. Have mom take pics with you in them with your toys and ask her to go through old pics to add pics when you were little playing with those toys.
Get your folks to help you too! Talking to your parents about what you loved as a really little guy will start a great conversation of memories about you, a chance to bond with your parents a little, as you grow up and need them less and less they start to miss you and would really appreciate that! Also, they can help you take care of things you don't want, such as driving you to Goodwill with it, or setting you up at Ebay.
If there are younger kids in the house, you may try passing your stuff on to them, or check your community for some less fortunate children who would LOVE your toys.
When you have cleared the area, look at your finances from selling stuff, or saving, or sweet talking your parents, and invest in a grown up thing for your room, such as a game system, or a stereo or TV or a piece of sports equipment that you can use now, or maybe new comforter for your bed that is cool for a teen. Then you might be able to throw a sleepover to show off your new bachelor pad.
Keep the really good stuff like Lego's those are so expensive. Keep any sentimental items. I still have my son's favorite stuffed animal (a monkey). Books that are classics are good to keep - like Dr. Suess, bc those never go out of style and good books are expensive to replace. Train sets. Some of those old GI Joe's are worth money keep those. We also kept his baseball cards and his Desert Storm collector card sets.
Plastic toddler toys, donate.
:) Life goes quickly, before you know it you will have kids that will want to play with that stuff. I know bc my daughter had her family already and it seems like just yesterday she left home!

i think u should keep the ones ur most attached with and give the other ones to little sinblings or other younger people...u could also always donate stuff to the different foundations and stuff. im 14 too and i kept my closest things, gave sum to my lil sister and donated some stuff. now my room is totally clean and my age! good luck! :)
Make three piles: Things you want to keep, things you want to donate and things you want to throw away. (Toys don't usually sell for much, so it's really not worth the effort.) Don't worry if you find yourself keeping a lot of the things. You'll do a really thorough cleaning before you leave for college. In the meantime, just make a little extra space for yourself. You could also put certain sentimental things in boxes, but be sure to label them so you know exactly what's in them a few years from now. Good luck!
