what can i do about the wet-looking spots that are on my clothes AFTER I wash them? They look like grease!?

Answers:
It its grease. Try mister clean on the small spots and rub it a little bit. I works great and don't discolor your clothes

Other answers:
They probably are grease. Try treating them with Stain Stick or Spray 'n Wash and wash them again. Problem is, that first washing (or more specifically, the hot dryer) may have set the grease into the fabric, making it twice as hard to get out.

Good luck!

maybe oxy clean will work , that stuff will do anything
stain stick let it soak for overnight, outside the water.....put the stuff(stain stick) on the spot over night, then wash in COLD water.....hot water or warm sets stains...always use cold water....almost anything will come out in cold water. also use a toothbrush and try to move the fibers around and it could work....
dawn diswashing liquid applied directly to spot and wash again
It's NOT grease. It is fabric softener. Smell it. Put some liquid detergent on it and rewash.
For my dark and colored clothes I found it was the fabric softener. So now I stop the rinse cycle after the tub is filled with water, then I pour the softener in a bowl with an equal amount of water and mix it up really good and then pour it in the washer but not directly on the clothes. An extra bit of work, but now I never have those spots. Also fabric softener sheets sometimes leave spots.
It may not be grease,if you use liquid laundry det with a fabric softner, some of your clothes(depending on what material your clothes are made of)will come out with what looks like stains,or "water stains" as they are commonly called. On such fabric's as that, rewash them seperately and dont use any fabric softner one them, hope this may answer your problem.
I had that happen a few times--turned out it was from the dryer sheets I was using. I sprayed the spots with shout, rewashed & dried WITHOUT the dryer sheets. it worked
It could be detergent that gets unrinsed. Try putting the detergent in the washer before adding the clothes. Or even put the detergent in and start the water so it is completely incorporated before adding the clothes.
