How can I remove dried wax from auto upholstery?
Answers:
Scrape away as much wax as possible with a blunt knife.
Place a sheet of butcher paper, glossy side down, or a portion of brown paper bag on top of the wax.
Press the tip of warm iron gently over the affected area until the wax melts and attaches to the paper.
Lift the paper from the upholstery as it cools.
Dab a small amount of denatured alcohol on the stain if any wax dye remains on the upholstery.
Sponge with water.
Other answers:

Scrap the dried wax away, then for the white stain that remains, use the steam cleaner. This is like a vacuum cleaner, only instead of sucking in it blouw out hot steam. steam will melt wax, then you have to dab it up immediately with a soft cloth.
Use a hairdryer and paper towels.
Get the wax hot enough to melt and use the paper towls to soak it up.
This works with my kid's crayons melting into the carpet too. It's still a pain.
