ive been in your shoes more than once!start in one small area and do it little by little with alot of breaks, and dont start another area until you finish that area!the part that overwhelms people is jumping from one thing to another and before you know it your already worn out without seeing any progress!so if you do one small area at a time you will see what youve done and feel better about what you are doing!hope this helps!god bless ya!

Clean and organise. Set aside a full day where you commit yourself to go through ALL YOUR STUFF and organise everything, in every room. And throw up stuff that you no longer need/will never use!

To get rid of a cluttered house you have to get rid of what is making it cluttered. Go through all of the stuff that is laying around and sell/give away/or donate the things that you no longer use or have need of.
Hire a professional organizer from National Association of Professional Organizers or find a trusted friend/family member to help you. Start small. Pick a closet or a drawer and get rid of things you have not touched or used in 6 months. Donate them. If you know you won't bring them somewhere to be donated... Then toss them in the trash. Do it on a day when you know your trash will be picked up the next day so you don't bring the items back into the home.
Ask for help. It's overwhelming but start small and work your way up. I promise once you start to notice results you won't stop.
You may not have time to clean one whole day, But you can make a plan for the week or two and tackle one obstacle at a time, make a schedule of things to be done daily. Rushing to clean in a day, causes you to move one mess to the next. Make boxes or tubs to organize clutter until you can get to it. Nothing should be on the floor. It clutters the view. AND from now on, take the time to put things away everyday, and you won't have a mess. I know I have 7 berdooms and 5 full baths. I know how to declutter. Appearance is everything. Your home reflects your thoughts and breaths. Clutter makes it hard to breath and feel good about yourself

I went through the same thing. I had SOOO much stuff in my house that I had NO WAY of keeping it clean. Then when I started putting things were they belonged I found out I had more room than I thought I did. What I did was made little piles. Start in one room in the house. Make little piles for every thing that does not belong. Then put those little piles in the room they belong in. Once you've done that, and cleared all the trash out, you will be amazed at how simple it is to put everything away. And once that is done and everything is in it's proper place it will be much easier to keep up.
Do one room at a time.
Junk all unwanted things.
Junk things you have not used for more than 3 years. Clean up the furniture.
hire a skip and put what you dont want on there and keep the rest
Sometimes I get tired about daily chores so I will make a game out of it. Lable all the work that needs to be done on slips of paper such as pick up under the panio, pick up area around the t.v, wipe down bathroom counters, clean toliet, dust endtables, etc. and put them in a jar. I put on some upbeat music and pull one out of the jar and I do just what the slip of paper says and I can't get another slip until that first chore is done. But the time I know it the chores are complete. My kids even love getting in on the act! We put the used chore paper in another jar and we can see how much we are getting acomplished. Breaking down the bigger jobs to smaller jobs makes the work seem less overwhelming and you are having fun while doing it!
Depending on how bad it is set aside possibly a week to declutter. Then do what they do on the TV show....take a room at a time and clear out all the "junk" then without more than a few seconds per item either keep - toss - sell or give it to charity. If you haven't touched or used it in 12 months you probably don't need it. Then organize and find a place for whatever you keep. After that every night before bed go around and put things back where they belong and every month throw away stuff you've held onto that you don't really need. Doing those 2 things will keep your house clutter free.
