What's the fastest way to clean window blinds, and what detergent is best?
Answers:
I hang mine on the clothes line with fairly large S hooks, spray them with greased lightening and hose them off, works like a charm, don't forget to spray both sides, and spray grass after rinsing to dilute the greased lightening, that stuff will kill weeds!
Other answers:
I've taken them and washed them in the tub with laundry soap and I've taken them outside and sprayed them with a hose and washed them with laundry soap. Either way works, but you have to let them dry (obviously) before hanging them back up.

Hang them up outside, spray on a mild detergent and use a water hose to rinse them off.
It's a been a long while since I've last cleaned them, so I don't remember what exactly I did, but you can try dishwashing soap, although I'm not 100% sure if it works. I just know it helps with other non-dish-related cleaning and it seems like it would work for blinds.
Oh, and I just wipe them down with a wet sponge.
I usually use a mixture of one cup bleach, one cup grease cutting dish detergeant in about six inches of water in the bath tub... after a few minutes... take them out and rinse with cold water.... allow to dry and hang them back up.
Haven't you ever watched that show "How Clean Is Your House?" Powder Tide in the bathtub.
Good Luck!
Don't--I repeat, don't--ever try to clean them in place. Take them out in the yard and lay them out with a blanket or towels underneath. Any detergent will do, but a degreaser is best. Agitate with a brush, then roll over and do the other side (this is easier to do with a person on each end).
fill bathtub with detergent and bleach, hot water, let soak for a while, scrub with tolit brush, a new non-used one of course, turn blinds over let soak and repeat. then hang and let drip dry somewhere. outside if you can.
