HOT hose down will shrink things that are made of cotton. So will a hot dryer.
Wash in HOT wet and then dry within as hot as your dryer setting is. This should shrink it some but probably not as much as you would like.

yes! cotton shrinks easily contained by hot water and a hot dryer. that will distinctly shrink it.
I would just wipe up it in some greatly hot water and that should be your answer.
If it say machine wipe up cold, wash hot, if it say wash thaw wash cold.
clean up in hot river.Then dry in optimal setting within dryer-remember if its made from cotton it will shrink.poyester shrink is minimal
