How do you prevent or wash out yellow underarm stains on white t-shirts?
Answers:
First, soak the garment in a solution of 1 gallon warm water and 1 cup distilled white vinegar for at least two hours. The vinegar helps to neutralize the stain-causing chemicals in your perspiration. Wring out the shirt, rub 1 teaspoon of natural liquid laundry detergent into the stain, and launder in the hottest water allowed for the fabric, adding 1/4 cup of baking soda to the wash. The hot water activates the detergent, and the baking soda gives your clothes an extra clean, fresh scent. After washing, hang the garment to dry and check for residual stains. If any discoloration still remains, treat the stain again using the same method

Clorox bleach.

Do you mean Clorox bleach? Then yes, that does work well.
Dude...yuck. Use a better deordorant.
dude not cool
Use a good detergent. I never had this problem until the local stores stopped selling Oxydol. Now I've tried tide & cheer, and they suck.
I'm currently trying different detergents and oxidizers. Bleach doesn't really seem to help, is hard to rinse the smell out, and wears your clothes out prematurely.
I'd love to see Jeff keep up with laundry for a family with 2 teenagers who generate 10~15 loads a week.
Soak the shirts in Oxyclean overnight.
BACK IN THE DAY :) my husbands mother would hand wash, etc. I am not willing to do that - so we throw out and buy new. The real question here is "How do I get my husband to get over worrying about getting an answer to his/your question? AND to just keep throwing them out and buying more! Can you help me with that one? Great question, glad you asked it.
use the methos JEFFAV proposed... or was it with warm watter and detergent.
