What state do you live in and what would you pay someone per hour to clean your house?
Answers:
With or without full-body massage? :-)
Without ---> $10-15/hour (New York or California)
With ------> $200+/hour (foot massage only ~$100)

Texas(south Texas) and I think maybe $5 hr. If they were an independent I figure $5 would be okay,even though it's less than minimum wage, because they wouldn't be paying taxes on that.

I live in South Carolina. I have paid someone $11.00 an hour to clean my house when I lived in Vermont. I havent hired anyone here, and dont think I will but thats what I paid and that was about 5 years ago, so I imagine it would be more now.
Nebraska.
It's $12.00 an hour here.
I have a woman who is packing up my house so I can move( I broke my leg when I was in the midst of the packing) and she told me that she usually just cleans houses and her rate is $20.00 per hour to clean. My sister has a cleaning service who charges a flat rate of $55.00(she has a 3 bedroom home), her boss pays $75.00. My sister told me that the "rule of thumb" is $10.00 per room. We live in New Jersey and I have no idea what other area charge. Good luck!!
New York City - we have someone who charges 15.00 and hour and she's usually done in two or three hours.
Minimum wag is $5.15 or 5.25 I think. Law says you must pay this as a minimum reguardless where you live. I'm in TN. I would say around $6 and hour. If hte person was good and I felt I could trust them, maybe bump it up to $6.5 or $7 and Hour after 6 months.
Tenn. its about 6-8 dollars an hour
I have a friend in Arkansas who charges between 30 and 50 a week, depending on the size of the house. She sets the rate, and then cleans as quickly or as slowly as she wants. If she's done in under two hours, she doesn't get paid less, but if she takes 3 or 4 hours, she doesn't get paid more. And she's terrific! Cleans places others never even think of!
If you live in NW Arkansas, I'll clean your house weekly. Here, it's usually $75.00 per week.
