what is considered "normal" housecleaning? frequency?
Answers:
Deep clean once a week, but you have to pick up daily. Clean the kitchen every day that includes sweeping and washing the floors.

Depends on how dirty your house is! :-)

Once a day and maybe a deeper cleaning every week.
i cant keep my house clean unless i do it in sections... monday dusting tuesday vaccum wednesday bathrooms thursday vacumm again fridaymop floors... and during all of which i have to pick up toys and do dishes and all the everyday things. sat and sun i do laundry.
I think it means once a week.
Once a week, but you have to use a bull whip on the kids every day between cleaning to make them clean up after themselves because the little bastards won't do it on their own and I refuse to clean up their messes. If they were all little kids it would be one thing, but they are from 7-19. If I'm going to cook for them and wash the skidmarks out of their underwear then by God they're going to do their share.
Daily housekeeping chores should include: sweep/vacuum, dust, wash dishes, make the beds, clean the bathroom. Housekeeping that should be done at least weekly, or more often if necessary include: mop the floors, take out the trash, do laundry, change bed linens, scrub the bathroom. Monthly chores, or more often if needed: clean all mirrors and fan blades on your ceiling fans, clean the top of the fridge, move your sofa/chairs and vacuum under them. I'm sure I have neglected to include everything, but this is a good guideline to start with.
Tidy every day and clean both bathroom and toilet daily. The rest of the house to get a good clean once a week.
Hire a cleaning lady on a weekly basis and inbetween, just tidy up and do the extra things , the lady don't.
