I always wash with strictly cold water cause hot water sets things in so I wouldn't even think of hot water. hydrogen peroxide shouldn't effect the color of your shorts

wash some of the blood off in the sink then throw yur shorts in a lload of whites

let your whites soak in the soap wqter and bleach for about an hour depending on how dirty they are! Also never rinse blood out with warm or hot water always use cold
for the blood pour some peroxide on it it should dissolve it without hurting your clothes, ive tried it it works like a charm
OK let me help you here blood comes of with hydrogen peroxide, let it soak for about 2 min at this point you will see the hydrogen turn foamy and that shows that it is working rinse then throw it in the washer and you are good.Washing blood stained clothes with warm water will make the stain soak in to the cloth. For making your whites whiter try oxy clean it has worked for me.
Good old bleach keeps whites looking white.
Remove dried blood stains with cold water. Set in blood stains can be remove with hydrogen peroxide. The peroxide might affect the color of fabric. Once had very expensive white sheets badly stained with blood THEN dried in the drier! I thought they were ruined. Soaking in hp for three days totally removed the set in stains.
Soak them in warm water and a nappy cleaner before washing them. Tip the water and all into the machine. A generic brand is fine. I used to get tomato paste and grease out of my white uniforms.
Fantastik may work. I used to use it on my staff whites when I would get blood on them. Works well on grass stains too.
