where can i find a good site online on how to organize a room if i have a lot of stuff in there?
Answers:
Donate items that you don't use and that are in good shape to a charity/organization that is close to your heart. Next, consider all of the space on the walls, and put shelving up there to put the smaller items. How about under the bed storage containers for items you do use, but perhaps not daily...the idea is to make your room functional yet pleasant, not overwhelming and cluttered. If you have animal collection that you don't want to part with, try one of those toy-hammocks that you hang from the ceiling in one of the corners of your room. I see that other answerers have given you some great links to organizing web sites, I don't have any new ones to add to what is already listed. I think the most challenging part of de-cluttering is deciding what to get rid of, but it helps to know that when you donate, someone will greatly appreciate it.

I have had a cleaning and organizing business for 17 years. You must get rid of the things that you haven't used in over a year.A really great guilt free way to get rid of stuff, is to donate it to an Alzheimers facility. The residents there love to play with stuffed animals, and other simple toys. Also, any old books or magazines. The residents don't care if they are out of date.If you cannot get rid of stuff, find a place to neatly store it,(attics, sheds, cellars)Have a yard sale, sell it on craigslist donate it to the Salvation Army.Donate toys in good shape to the childrens ward in a hospital. You'll feel great if you do any of the things I've suggested.Good luck!
