How to . . . . . ?

I have given you the link to a wood cleaner below. If you use this product in a very diluted form it will lift food stains without leaving an "obviously cleaned" mark. You should use light dabbing, and when the stain has gone, wipe over with a wrung-out cloth which has been soaked in warm suds. Finish by drying with paper kitchen towel. If the stain is resistant - then use a little more pressure on the wood.
This product is used primarily for decking, or outside wooden garden furniture (to combat weather staining), but it works very well on interior flooring.
It is always best to try a very small area first as a tester to see that you have the right dilution.
