How is your closet organized (or not)?

My closet is very well organized. Shoes in their shoe rack, purses in their purse rack, dress blouses then casual blouses then dress slacks then blue jeans, skirts then dresses. The shelving up top has everything stacked according to usage with the most used on top. I thought about color coordinating my clothing with their appropriate groups but that would be too annal, don't you think? Of course, my linen closet is organized by colors and types of linen. What ever you do tho, don't look under my bed! Everything that doesn't have a home and can fit - including future Xmas gifts - goes under the bed.

if the door shuts then its all good, if not push every thing towards the back and close quickly
I built a 5 shelf shoe box in mine and added a second hanging rod on half so it is set up pretty well.
If I can get in there to find my clothes I feel lucky.

Sometimes my clothes are in a neat folded pile and sometimes when I am in a rush I go rushing for proper clothes to wear and leave the ones that I have tossed to get a clothing all over the floor. Then when i come back home I just grab all the clothing from the floor and shove in into my closet. When I have free time I fold my clothes into a neat pile and the cycle begins all over again. lol.
Of course my closet is organized... I'm OCD, so pretty much everything in my life is organized. My clothes in my section of the closet, hubby's on the other. Clothes neatly hung up. Dresses together, skirts together, t-shirt together, sweatshirts together, jeans together, slacks together, etc etc etc. Shoes all neatly placed in shoe boxes.
lol my clothes are all colour cooridinated.. starting with hubby's clothes.. Dress clothes then casual clothes, then work clothes. then mine goes the same way.. all starting from light to dark colours... I have hanging shoes racks that hang from each side of the closet and long skinny tupperware on the bottom for out of season clothes
Very tidy, I throw away all junk and broken things and organize all clothes what fits me is nice and does not have 45 holes in lol! But yes it is mostly tidy!

my cupboards are not neat, but kids' is even worse
like mom like daughter? however, buying more closets is another way to do it...just keep stuffing stuff in
I know the right philosophy is to throw something out for everything you buy
(in Europe we have to buy our closets!)
