Answers: Try wet the stain with a solution of waste away ( like stuff advertise on tv for removing stains from laundry). Let it dry out and gently iron page.
why would you want to create your book less noticeable? unless I've misread what you asked, in which skin no.
you can set it out in the sun to dry. If it is pretty resourcefully ruined though, you can check out these sites. I have used them to replace ruined books. They adjectives specialize in out of print books:

Im a short time ago guessing here but vinegar is credited with doing adjectives sorts so why not make a diluted solution of vinegar and river and gently wipe near a piece of cotton?
