How do i verbs a sooty smelling faux fur after a fire?

had a fire and my 200 dollar fur smells sooty, how can i verbs it?

Answers: My daughter has faux fur rugs and clothes and I put them contained by the washing gadget on a 30 degree mop up (slight spin only) then dry them on the radiator and brush. They come out amazing and it only just costs anything - compared to dry cleaning.

Take it to the dry cleaner. It would be a shame to do further damage to it.
