How do I get a mildew stain off of my fabric shower curtain?

My husband always throws his towel over the curtain rod after he dries off. Now there is a mildew spot where his towel hangs.

they tell you not to do this, but it works. Spray the shower curtain with Tilex, rub it in and wash in hot water with the regular amount of detergent for a full load, but only put in the shower curtain.

Throw it in the wash machine on gentle and then dry gentle. Thats what we do with ours. Works fine.
Take the shower curtain down and wash it in the washing machine. Wash with bleach. Do not put in the dryer unless it is a cotton shower curtain.

Hang back up to dry.
bleach. You can use a spray cleaner that has bleach in it, read the labels on Fantastic or 409, some say "with bleach". Or just dilute some bleach in water & sponge it on. Mildew should come right off.
Get a new shower curtain, or make your husband chew the mildew stain away until he learns not to hang his wet towel there.
I have always had to buy a new one. Washed one in washer and it tore it up. washed one by hand and mildew did not come out.
