Still have mildew smell in carpet after cleaning, any tricks?

Answers:
Get yourself a carpet cleaner/shapooer. Use water and tea tree oil. One drop of tea tree oil for every once. The tto will kill bacteria and most musty smells. If this does not work you may have to just rip up and get new. Be sure to bleach the flooring underneath if possible. The spores can sit in the floor and start back up with the new carpet

Other answers:
What did you use to clean it? Try oxy clean or whooline or Bleach if possible. If it smels like mildew you didn't kill it all

Baking soda will usually take anything out.
Try sprinkling baking soda on it, leave it for about a day or so, then vacuum.

I have never found anything to take out a mildew smell. I've discarded things because it never seems to come out.
Throw it out! Buy new carpet.
clean harder.
Leave your windows open after having capet cleaned.
RENT A RUG DOCTOR.
new carpet.
The mildew is probably mold growin either in the pad or in the carpet...if that is the case get rid of it pull the carpet out and lay down new carpet. You can call a Water Damage specialist to come out and see if that is the problem. If you do get new carpet sometimes it is cheaper if you ahave the carpet pulled out already...and actually it is not hard to get it up so long as you have some time to do it.
"Carpet Fresh" from Arm & Hammer

try baking soad and also try some carpet cleaner with deordorizer
It is probably in the pad and has nothing to do with your carpet, instead of spending a ton of money on different cleaning supplies just replace the pad.
White vinegar should do the trick. Mix about 1 teaspoon per pint of water. Vinagar can be used for tons of stuff. It is anti fungal and a great deoderizer.

Vinegar can be a potent, inexpensive and environmentally friendly cleaning agent. White vinegar is generally recommended when vinegar is being used as a cleaning fluid.

Check out this site for cool vinagar uses.

spinkle baking soda all over let sit for a few hours then vacum up.
Use 50% white vnegar and 50 % water .Put in a spray bottle and spray the whole carpet .This will kill the smell. Your carpet and room will smell of vinegar for a while but don`t worry it will fade.
Household ammonia kills mildew on almost anything, and can be used almost everywhere, clothes, carpets, floors, wood. If you don't KILL the mildew, you won't ever get rid of the smell.
Try shampooing your carpet with bleach or u could replace your carpet... If you could click on my avitar and help with my problems i would appreciate it..
