Why do wool blankets requirement to be dry cleaned?
Answers: Actually they do not need to be dry cleaned. But they must be wash carefully using a wool cycle on a wash machine beside an approved wool detergent or soap. It is best not to use very hot hose down, warm is OK. If you would clean up a baby contained by the water heat, it is good for wool. Do not use a drier, they must be dried flat or hung over a clothes queue.
Since many those find it difficult to dry them correctly, they are usually dry cleaned and this is usually much more convenient.
Use the same process for any wool item, otherwise the fibre felt together and the item will shrink.
