What is the best vacuum cleaner to get from the department stores.?

Hands down the Dyson!! It never loses suction and swivels to get into small spots and strange angles. I used to clean this huge house for a friend that had two cats and nothing else could touch the performance and reliability of a Dyson. I wish I could just show you, they even have a special model for animal hair. It is a god send in my messy home.

I have a Dysson. They work great!! And no filters! A little on the pricey side, but trust me, they are WELL worth the extra cost!
I have a bissel and a hoover bagless. I love the Hoover. IT is way better than the Bissel. Has stronger suction. I definitely recommend the Hoover windtunnel bagless.
Oreck is the best vacuum period. I have used them all and worn them all out. They are true workhorses.
