How do I return with stains bad a vintage satin wedding ceremony gown?

There are some smudges on the bottom of the skirt. They have probably be there for something like 60 years.

Answers:    take it to a professional Or but for noticeable when you are wearing it
take off them
I would not try that at home! Take the gown to a specialist dry cleaner's.
I agree with the other people's answers, that you should enjoy it done professionally. BUT, if that's not an option, try going to a quilt shop and asking for a yellowing remover. It's a soft solution that gets dirt and other stains out thoughtfully, even after several years.
You really should take it to the dry cleaners. But if you aspiration to try and clean this yourself I can suggest this. Soak the dress contained by cold water. Remove and rub contained by natural soap, Leaving the dress/gown free from hose down and the soap on ,sat 1/2 hr or so , backbone to the cold water and rinse. Now hang down outside in the sun. The sun will bleach the stains out the pure way. Whilst the dress/gown is outside within the sun, every now and after sprinkle cold water over any remaining stains. The sun will do the rest of the work for you. This is the infirm fashioned way of removing stains but it works. Great instrument of keeping your whites whiter than white
Whatever you do, do NOT put water on satin bits and pieces. I am appalled at someone's suggestion to do this. NEVER put water on satin because it will stain it outstandingly badly, wet stains. Take it to a professional dry cleaner and see what they can do for you. I say this because I know more or less fabrics a large amount from my knowledge and years of sewing (35 years of sewing and skilled well within 4-H by women who knew their stuff).
