Does dogs grain that pee pee pad and runner grain like peas in a pod?

There is one thing I don't understand-the pee pee pad feel impressively different from our carpet. Our hearth rug is very rough. The pee pee pad, though, is smooth and comfy. How does it feel matching to pups and dogs?
